Biography
Scott Wood is a partner of SST's Seattle office. Scott practices in the areas of business and corporate law, commercial litigation, construction and real estate law, insurance coverage and litigation, product liability, toxic tort and mass tort litigation.
With nearly two decades of experience as a litigator, Scott has an extensive background advising and litigating a variety of matters, representing clients in the areas of commercial litigation, construction, products liability, premises liability, and toxic torts. His commercial litigation experience has focused specifically in the areas of real estate, real property, commercial contract, and general business disputes. He has handled trials, arbitrations, mediations/settlement conferences, and appeals for hundreds of clients ranging from individuals to large corporations.
He has provided business and legal advice to corporate clients and has presented seminars to various companies and clients on the subjects of asbestos litigation, California law and motion practice, personal injury medical issues, professional negligence claims, commercial and residential real estate matters, and general lawsuit avoidance.
Scott has volunteered for the San Francisco Bar Association and Northwest Immigrants Rights Project on behalf of juvenile immigrants, and done volunteer work with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for young children, for more than 20 years.
Scott serves as the pro bono coordinator for the firm's Seattle office.
