Karen Ramírez-Holt is an associate with Sinars Slowikowski Tomaska. Her practice concentrates on product liability, premise liability, and occupational injury claims, including asbestos litigation. Her pro bono work has included successfully representing children in their guardian ad litem case furthering their best interest. Prior to joining the firm, Karen worked with the State of Missouri as an Appeals Hearing Officer addressing unemployment insurance claims. She also has experience working closely with the immigrant community through her work with the National Immigrant Justice Center and DePaul University College of Law’s Asylum and Immigration Clinic.

Outside of work, Karen enjoys gardening, traveling, and exploring her favorite city, Chicago. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology and Criminology, Law & Justice. Karen is also fluent in Spanish and attended a semester of law school at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in Madrid, Spain, as part of a legal studies program abroad. She graduated from DePaul University College of Law in May 2018.
