Biography
John-Michael Porretta is a partner with Sinars Slowikowski Tomaska and has more than a decade of civil litigation experience. He concentrates his practice on product liability, toxic torts, and occupational injury claims, including the defense of asbestos litigation.
John-Michael has lengthy experience in asbestos personal injury, toxic tort and product liability cases. John-Michael has a wealth of deposition experience and routinely argues on behalf of his clients throughout Illinois and Missouri. He is also responsible for all aspects of case management, including motion practice, discovery disputes, settlement negotiations and trial preparation.
John-Michael also serves as general counsel for a local apparel company. In this role he has examined and drafted numerous internal policies, examined and drafted numerous contracts with suppliers and customers, and assisted in the purchase and sale of businesses and commercial real estate.
In law school, John-Michael was Business Editor of the Journal of Sports Law and Contemporary Problems.
