Biography

Jaclyn Kostich is a partner with Sinars Slowikowski Tomaska. She has diverse experience with complex litigation matters. She concentrates her practice on medical and professional malpractice, personal injury, premises liability, product liability, mass tort and other environmental claims and has successfully handled cases on both the plaintiff and defense side.

Jackie's medical and professional malpractice experience includes representing pharmacies, doctors/dentists and oral surgeons, nurses and other health care professionals in a full spectrum of litigation. These cases involve obstetrics, surgical and emergency care, primary care and internal medicine claims, medical specialty claims, hospital and home-health nursing, and nursing home and long-term-care facility issues. Her work also encompasses medical office training and policy issues.

Her toxic tort and environmental practice includes claims relating to exposure to asbestos, diacetyl, benzene, and other toxic chemicals from groundwater contamination and landfills. Jackie's varied experience with other tort claims includes drug/pharmaceutical litigation, auto accidents and product performance and failure issues.

Jackie is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and serves as the committee chair for attorney recruitment and retention.

Jackie enjoys spending time with her husband, four daughters and three dogs. As a family they enjoy traveling, going to concerts, going out to dinner, and playing games. Jackie can most often be found in a carpool, cheering field side/courtside, and volunteering at school. However, when she has time to herself (almost never) she enjoys ordering sushi, watching Dateline, and shopping online.
