Biography
Cary Press is an associate in the St. Louis office of Sinars Slowikowski Tomaska. He has defended hundreds of toxic tort cases with the firm, while having also served as the lead attorney in cases involving contract drafting and disputes, property damage tort cases, and real estate matters. While with the firm, he has defended, prosecuted, and appeared in court for cases in five separate jurisdictions in Missouri and four separate jurisdictions in Illinois. He has also been the lead attorney at successful mediations.
Prior to joining, he worked for a small civil litigation firm in St. Louis. In addition to toxic tort defense, he has handled complex federal cases, including multiple disputes between unions and their members. He has drafted multiple class actions for plaintiffs at both the state and federal level, and handled intricate contract disputes and franchisee-franchisor cases. Additionally, he has worked on solo cases on a variety of topics, including personal injury, bankruptcy adversary proceedings, adverse possession and property law actions, landlord-tenant actions, and domestic law cases. Cary has tried and won solo cases on both the state and federal levels.
Cary received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri in 2014. While in law school, he received CALI awards for excellence in Legal Writing, Trademark Law, and Comparative Law.
Cary lives in suburban St. Louis with his wife and two dogs. In his off time, he is an avid runner, golfer, and traveler. He also performs community service through his wife’s temple.
