Biography
William Alzugaray is a partner in the Chicago office of Sinars Slowikowski Tomaska where he concentrates his practice on product liability, environmental/toxic tort, transportation, and employment issues. He acts as the handling attorney defending his clients in multi-party litigation in both state and federal courts.
Will has defended designers, manufacturers, and sellers in product liability claims and toxic tort matters involving wrongful death and catastrophic injury claims. In order to best achieve successful outcomes, Will works closely with insurers, national counsel, and general counsels to cost-effectively manage litigation and maintain consistent collaboration. He has deposed countless witnesses of widespread disciplines which has led him to develop extensive knowledge of disciplines essential to complex environmental litigation. He has experience arguing contested motions in both state and federal courts and has successfully resolved cases of premises liability, general negligence, and employment matters.
Prior to joining SST, Will practiced at a prominent Chicago defense firm. As a law student, he received a CALI award for his coursework in Legal Writing and Research and was awarded Best Petitioner Brief at the New York Law School’s Wagner National Labor and Employment Law competition. Additionally, Will worked as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Thomas J. Lipscomb at the Cook County Circuit Court where he authored judicial opinions on dispositive motions.
He is licensed to practice law before all courts in the State of Illinois and is admitted to practice before the US District Court of Northern Illinois.
