Biography
Joseph Konrad is an associate with Sinars Slowikowski Tomaska and concentrates his practice on product liability, toxic tort and occupational injury claims. He is experienced in defending the interests of product manufacturers, premises owners and contractors in litigation, from inception to trial. He has taken hundreds of depositions across the country and has appeared in many jurisdictions throughout the State of Illinois.
Joe is experienced in litigating cases on both the plaintiff’s and the defense side. Prior to joining SST, he represented individuals in personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and workers compensations cases. He has second chair trial experience and has conducted numerous arbitrations and mediations, achieving successful results each time. He has briefed, argued and won countless motions. He has represented clients in State and Federal Court, before the Illinois Court of Claims, the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, the Illinois Department of Human Rights, the EEOC and in administrative hearings before the City of Chicago.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys playing golf, traveling, and is an avid Chicago sports fan. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Fenwick Bar Association and is admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
Joe earned his Juris Doctor and LL.M. in International Business and Trade Law, with Honors, from The John Marshall Law School, with Certificates of Concentration in International Corporate and Finance Law and International Trade Law. Prior to law school, Joe graduated with a Bachelor of Science in International Studies with a Minor in Political Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park, Illinois.
